The purpose of collecting the run-off water in a linear drainage system is to improve the condition of transport infrastructure. The water on the walkways or access roads is both an inconvenience for the users and a risk to the ground waters.

In accordance with the Environmental Law (Dziennik Ustaw of 2001, no. 62, item 627) and Water Resource Law (Dziennik Ustaw of 2001, no. 115, item 1229) the run-off water from contaminated areas, including city centres, industrial areas, transport depot storage areas, roads and parking areas with road pavement, must be conveyed to the combined sewer system, storm water system or the pretreated water shall be utilized in other ways. A linear drainage is an important part of a new infrastructure which allows collecting and conveying storm water to the receiver tanks.

To meet the market requirements, SYTEC have introduced the first products of the polymer concrete linear drainage line in 1995.

Linear drainage system components:

  1. Linear drainage, light type - CS,
  2. Technical linear drainage with edge profile - SE,
  3. Technical linear drainage with edge profile - CE,
  4. Technical linear drainage with polymer concrete grating - DM
  5. Kerb drainage,
  6. Tunnel drainage.

SYTEC linear drainage is made to PN-EN 1433:2005, A1:2007 “Drainage channels for vehicular and pedestrian areas. Classification, design and testing requirements, marking and evaluation of conformity.”
